Privacy Policy

F3 Workout Timer ("we", "our", "the app") is a free workout timer for F3-style group fitness workouts. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Most core features — timers, audio cues, and synced sessions — work without ever creating an account.

1. Data We Collect

• Account info — name, email address, and profile photo, received only if you sign in with Google or Apple. Sign-in is required solely for administrative features (managing regions, rosters, and playlists) and is not needed for normal timer use.
• Roster data — group admins may enter member ("PAX") names and workout-location assignments to organize their region. This is shared group data managed by admins, not individually collected from each member.
• Submitted content — feedback, bug reports, and smack-talk suggestions you choose to submit, whether signed in or anonymous.
• Synced-session data — a join code and workout configuration when you host or join a synced timer session. This data automatically expires and is deleted within 4 hours.
• Local device preferences — settings like mute state, smack-talk intensity, and recently used timers are stored only on your device and are never sent to our servers.

We do not collect location data, health data, or any fitness/performance data about your workouts.

2. How We Store Your Data

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) on servers located in the United States. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by Firebase security rules that restrict access to authenticated users.

3. Who Can See Your Data

• You — you can view your own submitted feedback and account info at any time.
• Administrators — app and group administrators may access roster and submitted-content data for moderation and to run their F3 region.
• No one else — we do not sell, share, or disclose your personal data to any third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting)
• Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple (authentication)
• Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise / App Check (abuse and bot protection)

5. Data Retention

Account and roster data is retained as long as it's needed to run the app and your F3 group. Synced-session data expires automatically after 4 hours. You may request deletion of your account and submitted data at any time — see below.

6. Deleting Your Data

You can delete your data in the following ways:

• Visit our Account & Data Deletion page to submit a formal deletion request.
• Email us at 16648dev@gmail.com to request account or data deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

F3 Workout Timer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Most features do not require any account or sign-in; sign-in is only used for adult group-leader (admin) functionality. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data through the app, please contact us for removal.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
